Our Services
“I’m so thankful for my time with my therapist, Angie. She helped me in so many ways and my life has improved immensely! I couldn’t have done it without our sessions. My partner and I are expecting a baby in September, thank you so much for what you did for me in my time of need.” -C.F.
Individual Therapy
Individual Therapy Sessions are for a client to receive one on one counseling with a professional therapist to overcome a wide range of difficult personal issues (such as trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, etc.) with a professional counselor. Individual Therapy Sessions are tailored to fit the unique needs of each client. A typical session length can be expected to be 45-53 minutes long.
Couples Counseling
Couples Counseling focuses on improving the relationship struggles between intimate partners. The goal of this type of therapy is to work through and gain a better understanding of the negative patterns that are affecting the relationship helping the couple to achieve better communication, increased intimacy, respect and affection as well as recovery from infidelity.
Couples Counseling typically involves the couple as well as the therapist in the same session, however, if only one member of the couple is willing to participate, individual sessions focused on couple’s counseling topics can still facilitate positive change.
Psychiatry & Medication Management
Psychiatry and Medication Management at Nexus is a truly integrated and collaborative process where you connect with our Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to determine whether medications might be helpful in managing your mental health symptoms. Careful consideration is given to determine the right time and the right dose and ensures that you are monitored appropriately along the way. Medication Management can be a critical component to a person’s mental health journey and can help to improve the quality of life for those struggling with various mental health disorders.
Medication management can be appropriate for all ages and stages of life, and works best when used in unison with therapy.
GeneSight Testing
The GeneSight Psychotropic test is a genetic test that shows your provider how your genes may affect medication outcomes. The Genesight test may reveal which medications require dose adjusmtents, be less likely to work, or have an increased risk of side effects based on your DNA.
FACT: Fewer than 50% of individuals with depression respond to their first medication! This test provides genetic insights to help inform your treatment plan, potentially reducing medication trial and error and shortening your road to recovery.
How is it collected: It is a simple swab that is collected orally either in the office or the collection kit can be mailed to you for you to do at home!
Test Results are typically available within 2 days of the sample being received at the lab
COST: Medicaid is fully covered. Commercial insurance will depend on what your insurance provider covers. There is a cost estimator on their page that you can use to help!
