Beyond Safety: The Unfinished Journey of Ukrainian Refugees in America
I earned my Psychology degree from EGE University in Izmir, Turkey, and later completed my Master’s in Social Work at Nord University in Bodo, Norway. Since immigrating to the USA in 2010, I have dedicated 8 years to working in the mental health field, assisting various populations facing mental health challenges. My Master’s thesis focused on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). My professional journey, influenced by my multicultural experiences, allows me to offer clients a unique perspective on their issues. A guiding principle in both my therapeutic approach and personal life is, “Our perspective on issues that arise determines whether we lead an adventurous or miserable life.”
